Girls Recreational Softball League

Join the Grayslake Park District Girls Softball League and play on some of the nicest fields in the area at Alleghany Park! Softball provides an opportunity to be active while making friends and learning life lessons like dedication, teamwork, and perseverance. Practices are once a week in evenings and most games are Saturdays, with a few weekday evening games. Age groups are combined as needed. Players and volunteer coaches receive Grayslake Jerseys and Visors for uniforms. The coaches meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, May 20th at 6:00pm. After this meeting, coaches will start to reach out to their teams with updates. Let’s play ball!

Age: 6-14 years

Practice: Begin the week of May 26
Games: Week of June 9-July 26 (includes rainouts)
Location: Alleghany Park
Min / Max: 22 / 96 per division

Player Evaluations

Given the changing safety guidelines, it has yet to be determined if player evaluations will be conducted in-person or via a Player Evaluation Survey. Registered participants will be contacted via email with more information about player evaluations closer to when the league begins.

Volunteer coaches help make this league possible! If you’re interested in coaching, please complete the Volunteer Coach Sign Up Form and send it to Brice Walsh at bwalsh@glpd.com. All coaches must complete a criminal background check and attend the Volunteer Coaches CPR Class.
